Being an entrepreneur is a fantastic learning experience. You don't need to have a degree or a qualification to be one, as long as you learn new skills on a daily basis. These skills need to include sales, marketing, financial planning and many others to ensure your business is successful and acquires the longevity you expect from it. I have been a business owner for 17 years of my 24 working experience. Actually, if you take into consideration that I started working at the age of 14, its a bit longer;-) Through my experience in the working world, i gained skills in sales, general accounting skills and dealing with the public. These skills served me well, but I needed more to grow, develop and understand how to build a business.
